OMAR ABDULLAH TYO BE CM AGAIN

After the scrapping of Article 370, the first election for Jammu and Kashmir was held, with the counting set for tomorrow, October 8, 2024. Exit poll predictions show gains for the NC-Congress alliance, but most surveys indicate less than a clear majority. The kingmakers will likely be the large number of independents. If the NC forms the government, Omar Abdullah is expected to become the Chief Minister (CM) again. But, will he? That is the moot question.

Given the political landscape and the possibility of independents playing a key role in government formation, Omar Abdullah’s chances of becoming CM again hinge on several factors, including alliances, negotiations, and power-sharing deals with these independents. The NC-Congress alliance will likely need to secure their support to cross the majority threshold.

I found his chart from the Journal of Astrology published by Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan under the editorship of my Guru, Sri K. N. Rao. I worked out his present Dasa and Gochar to see if he will be CM again. He was born with Simha Lagna (Leo Ascendant) and Mesha Rashi (Aries Moon sign). Ketu is in the Lagna. According to Lal Kitab, when Ketu is in the Lagna, the Sun becomes exalted wherever it is, and this seems true for him. His grandfather, father, and he himself have all been CMs. The Sun represents the father, grandfather, status in government, and authority.

The ninth house is fortified with its lord, Mars, along with a debilitated Saturn and Moon, aspected by retrograde Jupiter. This shows that, in his pursuit of power, he too has used religion as a political instrument. However, he did nothing commendable to bring back Kashmiri Pandits to Kashmir. His seventh house of marriage and pad prapti (attainment of status) contains multiple planets: Sun, Rahu, and Mercury.

With multiple planets in the seventh house—especially Rahu and Sun, linked to both status (Sun) and unpredictability (Rahu)—this combination could influence his public life and political partnerships. Rahu, known for sudden changes, could indicate that Omar may attain power, but with some unexpected twists, possibly dependent on alliances or external factors like the independents in the current election scenario.

Rahu Mahadasa and Mercury Antardasa:

Mercury, being the lord of the second house (income) and the eleventh house (fulfillment of desires), is significant for gains, both material and in terms of status. Rahu’s association with the Sun and Mercury suggests an unconventional but potent path to authority, indicating political power.

Sun’s Role:

The Sun represents authority, governance, and high status. Its conjunction with Rahu and Mercury points to a royal return to power. Rahu, although a shadowy planet, amplifies the results of the planets it conjoins, and here it boosts the Sun’s capacity for leadership.

Transit of Saturn:

Saturn is currently transiting over natal Rahu and Mercury, forming a favorable alignment. While Saturn usually creates delays or challenges, its placement here could reinforce his chances of political stability and gradual ascent to power, provided he navigates alliances carefully.

Transit of Jupiter in the Tenth House:

Jupiter’s transit in the tenth house (profession, name, and fame) is particularly auspicious, as it expands opportunities for career growth and enhances public reputation. This well-placed Jupiter further strengthens the possibility of his return to high office.

All these factors combined suggest that Omar Abdullah stands a strong chance of becoming CM again, provided he effectively manages political alliances and independents, as indicated by the election dynamics.
