A businessman from my home district visited my office regarding the prospects of a real estate deal and concerns about his cash flow. During our conversation, he also presented his wife’s chart, seeking insight into some health issues she was facing. Upon examining the chart, I immediately noticed that Venus, the lord of fortune (bhagya) and the second house of family, was positioned in the eighth house with Ketu. I then advised him to request that her parents, even at this late stage, gift them a bed and to start using it.

According to Lal Kitab, Ketu represents the maternal side (nanihal), and Venus symbolizes the bed. This remedy, while symbolic, is rooted in astrology’s deeper understanding of familial and cosmic influences.
Additionally, this case illustrates how medical astrology can provide insight into the nature and timing of health issues, though actual treatment must always be carried out by qualified medical professionals. Astrologers can indicate whether surgical intervention may be necessary, as I did in this case. Here, Mars was aspecting the fifth lord Saturn, and Venus’s conjunction with Ketu signified the possibility of surgery. The placement of Venus and Ketu, often referred to as “the doctor’s scissors,” further indicated the likelihood of an operation. I will continue to follow this case closely to see how it unfolds.
