Kotamraju Narayana Rao
It was in 1997-98 that I was given some books written by Sri K N Rao sahab by my first astrology guru Mohammed Akhtar Isha, who was then an Assistant Audit Officer in A G Office Allahabad, and he told me that he retired a as an Officer of prestigious Indian Audit and Accounts Service to which I also belonged. So when I was transferred to Delhi on deputation I went to his residence and sought his blessings and he had told me that I will learn astrology and on his advice I had joined Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan where he had established Institute of astrology after his retirement. Since then in weekly classes and also at his residence I had opportunities to learn from him. I truly feel blessed to be his student and also a member of IAAS service.
Born in Machilipatnam town of Andhr Pradesh Kotamraju Narayana Rao retired from the Indian Audits and Accounts Service as Director General in November 1990. Rao learned astrology from his mother K. Sarasvati Devi. He is the Advisor and founder member of the world’s largest school of astrology, being run in the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, New Delhi.[1] He also edits the Journal of Astrology, a three monthly carrying articles and researches relating to Vedic Astrology.
He made a number of correct predictions about political upheavals, natural and man-made disasters and major world events. This include predictions about a big change in the central government in 1989,[4] Sonia Gandhi’s political rise after 1998,[5] fall of Deve Gowda government in 1997,[6] chances of US President Bill Clinton being involved in land or sex scandals,[7] Gujarat earthquake in 2001 and untimely death of Benazir Bhutto.
He has written several books and co-authored many more besides publication of Journal of Astrology.
